WHY TeleCare?
So often we hear, “Mom has so many medications to take! I worry that she'll forget to take her medications altogether or take them at the wrong time”.
And while family caregivers try to check in on their elderly loved ones as often as possible, with personal and professional obligations, sometimes they just can't be there as often as the would like.
Even in cases where family members recognize that the time has come for a senior loved one to have outside assistance (the kind of assistance that Companion or Home Health organizations can provide) the Senior often resists – sometimes quite vehemently.
Finally, sometimes family finances do not allow for outside services to be obtained. Yet, everyone wants and deserves to have their elderly loved ones safe and well-cared for.
In all these situations, TeleCare is the answer!
TeleCare is an automated, interactive calling system which will contact your elderly loved one at times during the day that you specify (Time Specific) or during a pre-selected time window (Random Time).
While TeleCare is an automated system, your loved one will hear a pleasing human voice at the other end of the phone, calling to verify their well-being or remind them to take their medications. The calls are personalized, and your elderly loved is spoken to by name.
Well Being Calls
-Ideal for periodically checking on the well being of an elderly loved one.
A typical call would be …
Hello Mrs. Smith. This is Care4Life calling. Are you well today? If yes, say “Yes” or press “1” on your touch-tone phone. If no, say “No” or press “2” on your touch-tone phone.
If “Yes” is said or “1” is pressed, we say “Thank you., goodbye”.
If “No” is said or “2” is pressed, we say “We will call (designated Caregiver) immediately. Thank you, goodbye”.
If there is no response to the initial call, we will make 2 more calls. After a third unsuccessful call, we will leave a message, if there is an answering system, and we immediately call the designated Caregiver.
New feature: An email or text message can also be sent the designated Caregiver.

Testimonials
Many afternoons, I can't remember if I took my medication that morning or not. Now when I get the TeleCare call, I take my medication and don't think about it for the rest of the day.
If I don't get a TeleCare call by 10:30am, I know everything is OK with my grandmother.

I no longer worry that my mother will forget to take her medication. Sometimes she would take a nap in the afternoon, wake up and take her medications again. Now she doesn't over-medicate anymore, either.
